Welcome to the 37 Step Tai Chi Form.
Before we jump straight in to learning the postures, we are going take a deep breath and explore a little of the background to this style. Perhaps, learn something of the protagonist and practice a few basic waist exercises before the arrival of the first move in 7 days.
This approach is based on curiosity and play. Not study. I hope you will find it accessible and easy to learn.
In this session you will find
Video files
PDF
Text files (like this one)
Audio files
The course is drip-fed. This is done for a purpose. If everything is thrown at you at once it leads to "Information Overload" and does little to foster what others have described as "enforced patience". (See below for faster training options for those that have paid in advance for the year)
Expect a notification once a week that a new class is available. (Make sure you have not disabled email subscriptions otherwise you may not receive notifications about updated lessons, live webinars and course amendments.)
If Tai Chi offers anything, it is to offer an approach to life based on simplicity and patience - two themes that you will encounter again and again in this course.
So each week, a new session becomes available, a new move to explore and learn. Every 5th week or so, we will pause and RECAP what we have done so far.
If you look down the content list, you will see that there is date telling you when that class will become available (or when it becomes unlocked). Don't focus too much on that, for as new content is uploaded those dates will change.
And, if you have joined the Academy, you will also have access to additional training levels, as either a Grasshopper or Ninja. These supplementary materials should keep you on your toes throughout the week.
Welcome again
